The University of Bolton was established in 1824 as the Bolton Mechanics institute, before being given the title of the University of Bolton in 2005.
Bolton welcomes international students from 60 foreign countries, and has about 25% of a student from ethnic minority communities, which make it a very multicultural university. Moreover, its tuition fees for foreign students are very competitive where undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in 2020 were £12,450 for the majority of courses.
The university offers Masters Excellence Funding to full-time UK, EU as well as international master students, irrespective of their financial needs, who wish to undertake Masters level programs at the University of Bolton.
The scholarship provides £1,500 that will be awarded as a tuition fee waiver.
Eligibility for the scholarship:
In order to be qualified, applicants need to demonstrate that:
– They have successfully achieved a UK or EU First-Class Honors degree studying a full-time 180 credit Masters MA or MSc course at the university.
– Didn’t receive any other scholarship from the university.
– Didn’t receive any other kind of sponsorship for example from an employer.
The course of study must have commenced in September 2020 or will start in January 2021.
Applying for the Scholarship:
To receive this funding opportunity, first of all, applicants will need to be admitted in a master course that started in September 2020 or will start in January 2021 at the university.
After that they will need to fill an application form that will be available in the Student Centre, Chancellor’s Mall or can be printed from the official website of the university.
The completed application with photocopies of certificates that proves the achievement of the First-Class Honors Degree can be submitted to the Student Centre or posted to:
